Revolt RV500 – All-New Electric Bike with 150 km Range & Smart AI Features

The Revolt RV500 is the much-anticipated upgrade from Revolt Motors, famous for India’s first AI-enabled electric bike, the RV400. With the RV500, the company aims to deliver higher performance, bigger battery, and a more premium riding experience. Positioned above the RV400, this new model will focus on urban riders who want daily practicality with a stronger dose of speed, style, and technology. It is expected to compete directly against mid-capacity petrol motorcycles in the 300–500cc segment.

Revolt RV500 Design and Styling

The RV500 continues Revolt’s streetfighter DNA with sharp tank extensions, LED projector headlamp, and muscular side panels. The design is more aggressive and sporty compared to the RV400, making it stand out in city traffic. The upright stance ensures comfort for long commutes, while the split seat setup adds a sporty touch. Revolt is also expected to offer multiple color options, alloy wheels, and premium fit-and-finish that will attract young riders who want style with sustainability.

Performance and Speed

The Revolt RV500 will feature a bigger mid-drive motor expected to deliver around 15–20 kW (20–27 hp) of power, which will make it much quicker than the RV400. The top speed is likely to be 120–130 km/h, making it suitable not just for city rides but also for highway cruising. Instant torque delivery will ensure quick acceleration, while the hub motor vibration-free performance will make riding smooth. This places it in the same bracket as 350cc petrol bikes.

Battery and Range

One of the strongest points of the RV500 will be its larger lithium-ion battery pack. While the RV400 offers 150 km range, the RV500 is expected to deliver 180–200 km per charge, depending on riding mode. Revolt will likely continue its removable battery system, allowing users to swap or charge easily at home. Fast charging will also be supported, ensuring 0–75% charge in under 2 hours. This makes it practical for both city riders and long commuters.

Smart Features and Connectivity

Just like the RV400, the RV500 will be a tech-loaded motorcycle. It will come with AI-powered features, connected mobile app, GPS tracking, geo-fencing, and ride analytics. Riders will be able to switch between riding modes like Eco, Normal, and Sport. Revolt is also expected to improve the “engine sound” feature, where the bike produces artificial exhaust notes to give a petrol-like feel. With OTA updates, the RV500 will always stay updated with the latest software.

Revolt RV500 Price and Launch Timeline

The Revolt RV500 is expected to launch in India by late 2025 or early 2026. Being a premium model, it will be priced higher than the RV400, which currently costs around ₹1.5 lakh. Industry experts predict the RV500 will be priced between ₹2.5–3 lakh (ex-showroom), making it an affordable alternative to petrol bikes like Royal Enfield Hunter 350, Honda CB350, and Jawa 42. With government subsidies and low running cost, it will attract eco-conscious young buyers.
